How it works

Here is our step by step guide to start comparing financial products and services

There are a plethora of options available to businesses when it comes to finance and borrowing money, ranging from traditional ‘High Street’ Bank lending through to the use of alternative lenders, private investors and publicly backed finance, such as grants and other government administered funds. At Compare the Banks our mission is to ensure that businesses are fully informed of all their funding options to ensure they receive the most cost effective and appropriate form of lending for their company. Our aim is to make the process of sourcing and applying for funding as simple and stress free as possible. All of our financial consultants are time served individuals having worked in the financial, commercial or corporate advisory sector for many years having built up a wealth of knowledge, dealing day in-day out with businesses who require funding or advice for various scenarios.

The common thread with all of the businesses referenced above, regardless of size or capacity is that they were experts in their respective markets and where all busy building, growing, maintaining or exploring ways to develop their companies, and hence were short on time when it came to trying to source finance. The beauty of compare the banks is that we have the knowledge as well as the time to assist you in sourcing the correct funder, and can play back these options to you, either via the comparison tool within your CTB account, or face to face/screen to screen with you directly, to talk through the offers presented and provide an informed opinion.

Step 1: What is Required

Assuming you know what type of funding you require, feel free to arrange a call back and one of our consultants will be in touch

If you are unsure what type of funding is required feel free to peruse the product pages to learn more about the most common forms of business funding

Step 2: Register your Compare the Banks account

Once you feel as though you have enough information to hand about the varying products, or you have spoken with one of your financial consultants, you will then need to Register a Comparison Account from which you can compare offers as they are submitted to us via the various lenders we have approached or spoken to

Step 3: Compare Offers

As and when offers are received, you will get a notification from CTB, they are available to view. At this point, we can arrange to walk you through the offers received or you can simply decide based on information to hand. That’s entirely up to you. Although we would always recommend a discussion with one of our consultants as they really to do know their stuff!

Step 4: Decision Made

Once you are happy with the final offer you wish to proceed with, inform the CTB consultant and we will assist directly in making introduction(s) to the relevant lender(s) and walk you through the process and provide as much (or as little) support as is required

Step 5: Final Checks

As you move through the process of being formally underwritten for the funding, there will come a point where all of the due diligence is complete and full and final paper work is issued.

Step 6: Funds Available

With final paper work signed off, and once funding has been drawn down, CTB will always be available still to call upon for support, or additional lending

We wish you every success for the future
